Kafui is from Ghanaian of the Ewe tribe, and raised in Amster.dam
She moved to South Africa in 2010 and after 5 years in corporate spaces, she decided to focus full time on Kafui Naturals: A range of natural hair and skincare products that she is very passionate and proud of.
Her objective through Kafui Naturals is to offer a healthier alternative to the products available which contain harmful chemicals and preservatives.
She has also recently launched a Yoga Studio after years of encountering toxic spaces where People of Colour (POC) were made to feel unwelcome and experience blatant racism. The space is a collective of POC who offer yoga, movement therapy and it aims to better reflect and represent the people in South Africa.
She wants young girls to know that “there is great power and strength found in being vulnerable, and that often what you think is your weakness turns out to be your biggest strength. So, allow space for the awkward and uncomfortable. There is magic and beauty in it.”
